The Swedish hotel investor Midstar has transferred the operations of iconic Admiral Hotel to the property investor Strawberry.
Admiral Hotel is located in a warehouse from 1787 in Toldbodgade close to Nyhavn overlooking Copenhagen harbour. The hotel has 366 rooms, which were renovated in 2019, 11 meeting and conference rooms accommodating up to 300 guests as well as a bistro cafe, terrasse cafe and the SALT restaurant.
Strawberry already operates several hotels in Copenhagen and is owned by the Norwegian billionaire Petter Stordalen.
Midstar has owned the Admiral Hotel since 2019.
Accura advised Midstar both in connection with the acquisition of the hotel back in 2019 and with the transfer of operations to Strawberry, which has now been approved by the competition authorities.
