CapMan acquires billion-kroner project in Western Copenhagen area

On behalf of Germany’s largest pension company Bayerische Versorgungskammer, the Finnish asset manager CapMan Real Estate has acquired 37,440 m2 dwellings in the urban development area Kirkebjerg in Brøndby, Denmark. The seller is CASA A/S.

The price is more than DKK 1bn, making it one of the largest transactions in the Danish market this year.

The project consists of a total of 463 dwellings in 4 blocks and a multi-storey car park. The flats will vary in size from 2 to 5 rooms and from 60 to 107 m2.

CASA A/S will be in charge of the construction of the dwellings, and the entire project is expected to be handed over as a turnkey project at the beginning of 2023. The first dwellings are expected to be completed in 2021.

In the years to come, Kirkebjerg will be developed into a new, vibrant district with close to 2,000 new dwellings and several green areas.
