Better Energy and Andel have entered into a partnership with the aim of constructing solar parks in Denmark.
Better Energy and Andel will each own 50% of the completed solar parks with the ambition of constructing approx. 15 solar parks in the period 2024-2028. Better Energy will manage the development, construction and technical operation of the parks, and Better Energy and Andel will each take 50% of the output capacity.
The partnership also includes energy storage and biodiversity initiatives.
If all 15 parks are constructed, the total capacity will be approx. 2GWp, equivalent to 1.3 million Danes’ annual electricity consumption. Therefore, the partnership will be of major importance to the green transition in Denmark.
Better Energy is a leading energy company focusing on renewable energy. The company designs, finances, constructs and operates energy parks in several countries, including Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Poland.
Andel is an energy and fibre-optic group. The company is Denmark’s largest energy company with 1.2 million customers, and 40% of the electricity consumed in Denmark is supplied by Andel.
