The leading Danish private equity fund Axcel has acquired the cooling company Nissens based in Horsens, Denmark, in Axcel Fund V’s first platform investment.
Nissens is market leading in the manufacture and sale of cooling solutions for the automotive and wind power industries.
Nissens was founded in 1921 by the Nissen family and reported a revenue of DKK 1.4bn for the financial year 2015/16. Nissens employs 1200 people worldwide and has manufacturing facilities in e.g. Denmark, China, Slovakia and the US.
Accura has assisted Axcel in the extensive acquisition process and was global co-ordinator of all legal work streams in the process.
