All 31 Vestas wind turbines have been installed at the 300 MW Zhong Neng offshore wind project located off the coast of Changhua in Taiwan.
The offshore construction on the project started in March 2023, producing its first power in June 2024. Full production of the wind farm is expected later this year and once fully operational, the project will provide clean energy to approx. 300,000 households in Taiwan.
The project is jointly developed by Taiwan-based China Steel Corporation (“CSC”) and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (“CIP”) with Copenhagen Offshore Partners (“COP”) leading the development activities on behalf of its partners.
Accura’s Renewable Energy team has assisted the project for more than 4 years, both from Copenhagen and from the project office in Taipei. We are proud to support the project, CIP and COP throughout the early stage development, execution phase and to continue through operations.
CIP and its partners currently have five offshore wind projects in Taiwan under development, execution and operation with a combined capacity of approx. 1,900 MW. Accura is assisting CIP and COP on all five projects.
