AKF and PensionDanmark have acquired development plots 2.06 and 2.07 from By & Havn to develop and construct a new hotel on the corner of Sundkrogsgade and Helsinkigade in Nordhavn, Copenhagen.
The project comprises a total area of approximately 15,450 m² and will consist of a hotel and a lower building with serviced hotel apartments for extended stays. Together, the two buildings will accommodate at least 360 units.
The hotel will be operated by Bühlmann Hotels and developed around a concept that combines hotel operations with facilities that will also be open to the local community. The project is expected to include a café, restaurant, coworking spaces, meeting rooms and wellness facilities.
Henning Larsen has won the architectural competition for the project, which is expected to achieve DGNB Gold certification.
Construction is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2027, with the hotel scheduled to open in late 2029.
Accura advised AKF on the transaction and assisted with the establishment of a joint venture between AKF and PensionDanmark, which will jointly own the property going forward.
