The owners of the Danish-founded company AirHelp have sold a minority stake of approx. 20% to the American private equity firm Abry Partners, making it AirHelp’s largest shareholder. The transaction values AirHelp at more than DKK 2.5bn.
AirHelp helps air passengers claim compensation for delayed, cancelled or overbooked flights. Since its formation in 2013, the company has helped millions of travellers and is today the world’s leading flight compensation company with more than 400 employees and support in 19 different languages.
Accura advised certain of the major Danish minority shareholders in connection with the transaction.
