The Momentum Energy Group, a Danish management company operating within renewables, has acquired 19 Danish wind farms with a total of 88 wind turbines. All wind farms are located in Jutland.
The wind turbines produce a total of approx. 160,000 MWh each year, corresponding to the annual electricity consumption of approx. 100,000 Danes. Most of the wind turbines are of a certain age.
The Momentum Energy Group has considerable experience of cost-effective asset management of older wind turbines, and the company wishes to use this acquisition as a foundation for the development of a scalable platform intended to focus on extending the service life of wind turbines.
