Thylander and TG Partners form partnership with Goldman Sachs Alternatives to become majority shareholder in BoStad A/S

The Danish real estate investment and development company Thylander, together with its flagship fund TG Partners VIII, has formed a joint venture with Vintage Strategies at Goldman Sachs Alternatives. Through this partnership, they have acquired a majority stake in Bostad A/S from AP Ejendomme P/S, a subsidiary of AP Pension.

BoStad A/S is a large residential platform, with more than 1,450 homes across 61 properties in 13 regional growth cities in Denmark.

The transaction will be completed in October 2025, and AP Ejendomme will continue as minority shareholder in Bostad A/S.

With the expansion of the group of shareholders bringing in Thylander, TG Partners VIII and Vintage Strategies at Goldman Sachs Alternatives as investors, the parties share the ambition of continuing and further strengthening the platform’s strong operations and ensuring long-term value creation for both residents and investors.

Vintage Strategies at Goldman Sachs Asset Management is among the world’s largest secondary investors, having invested over USD 70bn in capital since its establishment in 1998.

Thylander is a real estate company investing in, developing and managing Danish properties. It was founded in 1986 by Lars Thylander.

Thylander will take on the role as asset manager for BoStad A/S, focusing on further developing and improving the platform’s position as a leading regional provider of high-quality, affordable housing in regional growth cities in Denmark.
