The pension funds Pensam, P+ and Lærernes Pension invest in a new international climate fund launched by Morgan Stanley.
The climate fund is called 1GT and focuses on investments in unlisted businesses providing climate-friendly and innovative solutions. The goal of 1GT is to contribute to a reduction of global CO2 emissions by one gigaton before the end of 2050. 1GT will invest in some of the industries producing the greater part of global CO2 emissions todays, such as businesses within energy, transport, food and agriculture.
Pensam, P+ and Lærernes Pension invest a total of DKK 1.7bn as some of the first investors in 1GT.
