The Danish payment company Swiipe Aps (“Swiipe”), which develops payment and checkout solutions for web shops, has been sold to the Norwegian payment company Aera Payment & Identification AS (“Aera”).
Swiipe has developed several payment and checkout solutions to optimise the purchase flow in web shops. The company offers features such as single-page checkout, post-payment additional purchases options and lost purchase recovery systems. Swiipe was formed in 2017 by Anders Riis, and, until the sale of Swiipe, he was part of the group of owners together with Denmark’s Export and Investment Fund (EIFO) and Finstart Nordic and others.
Aera is a leading Norwegian payment company formed in 2016 as a joint venture between NorgesGruppen and Coop. The company provides payment and ID solutions that enhance the digital payment experience for customers. Today, the company has more than one billion transactions per year, over one million customers and operates in eight different countries.
