PKA and Pensam invest DKK 1.2bn in US wind farm

The Danish pension companies PKA and Pensam have invested in the US wind farm Escalade located in Knox County, Texas.

PKA and Pensam have invested a total amount of DKK 1.2bn, and the investment was made through the pension companies’ joint investment company AIP Management.

The wind farm Escalade will receive a total of 65 windmills to be delivered by Vestas, and the farm is expected to be ready in November 2021. The total annual production capacity will be 336 megawatt equal to the power consumption of 275,000 households.

Accura advised the Finnish energy fund Taaleri Energia, who developed and sold Escalade, but who will also be a partner alongside the other investors in connection with the future operation of the wind farm.
