Norlys behind innovative energy project

Accura has assisted Norlys in a major PPA project, enabling multiple companies to secure green electricity from newly constructed solar and wind farms in Denmark. The PPA project involves Norlys acting as an intermediary, entering into a PPA with a solar or wind developer, where several of Norlys’ customers have the opportunity to join through individual power purchase agreements. This way, Norlys ensures more renewable energy in the Danish electricity grid, while making the green transition more accessible for companies. This initiative is part of Norlys’ strategy to invest in new solutions and lead the way in the green transition.

The first power purchase agreements have now been signed, and Norlys has taken an important step towards a sustainable future. The agreement combines both solar and wind energy in one product, providing a more stable and reliable energy supply throughout the year. The new solar and wind farms are expected to be operational by the end of 2027 and will significantly increase the share of renewable energy in Denmark.

Accura has advised Norlys in the preparation of the PPAs for the project. We are pleased to be part of this important project, which not only ensures green electricity for companies but also actively contributes to Denmark’s green transition.

Accura’s globally leading Renewable Energy department consists of more than 100 specialists who exclusively advise on renewable energy.
