The Danish company Electricity Maps has raised EUR 5 million in an investment round led by the climate funds Transition and Revent.
Electricity Maps’ open-source platform provides access to data on CO2emissions and electricity production in more than 50 countries worldwide and may be used by companies to understand and reduce their CO2 footprint. The platform provides access to historical data, real-time data and forecasted data of the next 24 hours.
Electricity Maps was formed in 2016 by Olivier Corradi and has 20 employees today. More than 40,000 people use the Electricity Maps app on a daily basis.
The investment will help Electricity Maps accelerate growth and the company’s mission of developing a data-driven decarbonisation of electricity.
