The Danish fintech company Embankment has raised EUR 15m in a Series A funding round co-led by Paris based BlackFin Capital Partners, a specialist in financial services investments, and London based B2B tech-investor Smedvig Ventures. The funding will be used to further develop Embankment’s software platform for alternative investment funds and accelerate its expansion in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Luxembourg.
Existing investors in Embankment include Seed Capital and EIFO.
Embankment, founded in 2022, has created a software and service model that integrates a modular, scalable platform with deep business expertise. Embankment serves more than 250 alternative investment funds, particularly within private equity, real estate, and funds-of-funds strategies, representing over EUR 30bn in assets under management.
