Carbon Recycling International (CRI) has entered a landmark agreement with Tianying Group to supply CRI’s technology to one of the world’s largest E-methanol plants.
CRI is the global leader in the carbon capture and utilization market with a proprietary CO₂ to methanol technology, and the only company in the world to have realized dedicated CO₂ to methanol conversion plants at commercial scale. Tianying Group is leading within the environmental protection and renewable energy sectors in China.
Based on the agreement between CRI and Tianying Group, CRI’s proprietary CO₂ to methanol technology will be leveraged to convert captured CO₂ from biomass combustion and green hydrogen produced from renewable-powered electrolysers into 170,000 tons of sustainable E-methanol annually. The operation of the plant is expected to be initiated in 2025.
