Cobham Satcom sold to Solix Group

Cobham Group, owned by the private equity firm Advent International, has signed an agreement to sell Cobham Satcom to the investment firm Solix Group.

Cobham Satcom is a market-leading provider of radio and satellite communications solutions for the maritime and land segments, delivering business- and mission-critical connectivity to a broad range of service providers, enterprises and government customers.

Cobham Satcom is uniquely positioned to take advantage of growth opportunities in the government, defence and maritime industries in particular, and with Solix Group’s experience from previous investments in the maritime industry and with government customers, Cobham Satcom expects to continue and accelerate its growth strategy in the coming years.

Cobham Group is a leading global aerospace and defence company, specialising in technology and services innovation. The company was formed in 1934 and designs and manufactures intelligent hardware for defence and aerospace markets. Advent International has owned the company since 2020.

The transaction is subject to the usual public authority approvals and is expected to be completed during 2025.
