The property and investment company AKF Koncernen is planning to construct a new residential area with more than 470 residential properties in the Western Copenhagen area. The plan is to construct a mix of rental and owner-occupied properties. The total selling price of the project is approx. DKK 1.2bn.
The residential area is part of the Municipality of Brøndby’s development plan for Kirkebjerg and means that the former industrial area will be converted into a new district. The project includes e.g. terraced houses and blocks with green spaces. Further, two activity centres will be constructed in connection with multi-storey car parks.
The construction is expected to start in the summer of 2020. The first residents can move into the new residential area at the end of 2021, and the development of the entire area is expected to be completed in 2024.
