L Catterton sells SteelSeries to Axcel

The international private equity fund L Catterton has sold SteelSeries to the Nordic private equity fund Axcel.

SteelSeries is a global leader within the development and manufacture of high-end gaming accessories such as headsets, keyboards, mouse and mouse pads. The company was founded in 2001 in Copenhagen and today has subsidiaries in the US and Asia.

L Catterton is the largest private equity fund in the world, focusing on the sale of products and services for consumers. The fund has completed more than 200 investments and has offices in 17 different locations worldwide.
